Step-by-Step Guide - How To Get Links

You have the perfect site, joined some merchants, and now all you need to do is add your banners and text links. "But I don't know where to start"; well here are easy step by step directions to help you get on your way.

It is very simple to get links, here's how:

Step 1.

Log into Kolimbo on the top right side of your screen by entering your id and password, then click submit. You will be directed to a new screen the Kolimbo Welcome page. On the Kolimbo welcome page there will be a menu on the top left side listing the different areas of Kolimbo.

To get links for your site from merchants you will need to hover your mouse over the words 'My Link Builder' this should be the third listing on the menu.

When you hover over this a smaller menu will appear slide your mouse over to the words 'Get Links'. Click on these words and you will go to the 'Get Links' Page.

Step 2.

On this page you can get the specific type of banner or text link you need for your site. It can display links from merchants you have joined or merchants that you have not joined but meet the criteria you are requesting.

Choose the size and type of link you need from the drop down menu. If you click the arrow on the right it will show a listing of the types of links available Image, Text, or Both. Now on the next line you will choose the Image size. Again click on the right arrow for a drop down menu it will list your choice of sizes available, click on the size you need for your site.

Step 3.

Choose the type of MERCHANT you would like to get links from. On the first line you will choose the type of relationship you want links from, Merchants you have joined, Prospective Merchants who you haven't joined but meet your criteria or Both. Click on your choice.

Step 4.

Now do you want your links from a specific category? This is an optional choice you can either choose a category or skip it.

Step 5.

Click on Show Results once you have made your choices from each drop down menu. A listing of banners or text links that meet your search will be displayed.

Step 6.

Review the listing of links available and decide which banner or text link you would like.

Step 7.

On the last column on the right 'Linking Code' the words 'Get HTML' will be in red. Click on these words and a smaller window will open. This window will list the merchant’s name, size of banner, category description if any and show how your link will appear.

Step 8.

At the bottom of the page will be a box with HTML code inside. Copy the code by highlighting the text, right click, and select copy.

Step 9.

Open your website software or your clipboard and paste the code into your site.
